Throughout Indianapolis, there are hidden gems. Let's brainstorm and find the perfect location for you. Whether it be the outdoors, with beautiful foliage, or an urban setting with colorful walls. If you don't already have something in mind, we have the perfect place.
Wear what makes you feel beautiful. Patterns/solids, Neon/neutral colors- it doesn't matter. If you feel beautiful in what you are wearing you are more than likely going like the pictures. My goal is to make every everyone feel comfortable.
Keeping that in mind, if you still want some advice for slimming clothes, here's a list to consider:
Heels lengthen your legs
Where the outfit ends (skirt, shorts, or sleeves) will make that part of your body look slightly bigger.
Bold patterns & bright colors on clothing will draw attention to that part of the body.

Like hair, I highly recommend a make-up artist. I even do this personally with all of our family portraits. It makes a world of difference.
If you plan on doing your own make up, apply your makeup like you normally would, but just a tad heavier on the eyes and lips. Eyeliner and a good mascara are a must. You might also pack the basics and bring them with you on the shoot, in case you need a quick touch up.
Be sure to moisturize your lips well before your photo shoot. Dry, cracked lips are really hard to touch up later in the pictures.
If you wear glasses, they could reflect light and cause glare and shadows across your eyes. Editing out glare and shadows takes an enormous amount of time and is very expensive. Consider talking to your optometrist. In some cases, your doctor will have a spare of your frames. Be sure to schedule this out a few weeks before the shoot to ensure any shipping or changes that will need to be made. We want to make sure you look like you, so we are flexible with whatever you want for the shoot.
I highly recommend a hairstylist, especially if you typically don't style your hair. The day of your shoot is a perfect time to schedule your trial run for the wedding. Give your stylist a few hours before the shoot. Your hair can be pulled down with gorgeous curls for the shoot if you don't want your "to-be" spouse to see you with your wedding hair style. From personal experience, having the professionals take care of these things can leave you feeling a lot less stressed for the shoot.

We recommend a least 6 months from your wedding if you are planning on sending save the dates, and no more than 3 months if you are planning on including an image on your invite. If possible, plan your shoot at least one month from your wedding.
We will reschedule the shoot if the weather restricts us from doing what we originally planned on doing. If for any reason we traveled far for the session, we'll have a back up plan and have some beautiful indoor shots. Shoots must be rescheduled no later than 24 hours in advance.
We try to make are shoots fun and about you guys. You'll practice your hair, dress fitting, even your entire ceremony. We want to make sure we practice on of the most important details of the wedding, the photos. All we want to do is get to know you both better. Take the stress off it being a shoot and just say it's a “practice.”
Absolutely! We know you love your fur babies and they are a big part of your life. Be sure to bring a friend or family member who can watch the pet(s) while we finish up your engagement..
Depending on the number of location, time of day, and outfit changes. Your session should last between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes. We recommend no more than 3 outfits for the time allowed, unless it's a quick slip on, like a sports jersey. On average, our couples stick with 1 or 2.
We will travel anywhere, but some additional fees might be added. We will travel 60 miles out of Noblesville for a session without extra cost. Our travel fee is low in most cases so don't be afraid to ask.

Try to get as many photos done before the ceremony, but save older relatives for after.
This is a great option if you have the ceremony & reception in the same location, or if you want to be a part of the cocktail hour and most of the reception.
Always take advantage of the sunset portraits. This is the best light and one of the only downfalls of the first look.
Let your guest know that cocktail hour will be starting an hour after the wedding ends by putting on your invitation a reception start time (cocktail hour to follow). If you've already made invites, consider extending your cocktail hour 30 more minutes. Be sure to order more food.
Utilize the sunset & night shots for just the two of you. These shoots are only 5-10 minutes long and will create a unique gallery for you both.

We recommend to keep them at a minimum. Definitely include the portraits you'd want to include in an album or hang on the wall in the future, but don't feel pressured by family members to take more than you want. We've found from the past that most couples only use the images with both bride and groom but if you want to do any individual images please include that in your questionnaire. We want our couples to have the best experience, so any additional images requested by anyone (other than the bride(s) or groom(s)) are taken at the reception. We want to get you both to your reception as soon as we can so you can celebrate with your guests!
Please ask family member to be 15 minutes early to the scheduled time so we can start right away. This list would take approximately 15 minutes after all lights are set up, or once we are at the outdoor location.

What's a First Look? Why a First Look? This will answer a lot of your questions of why we highly recommend seeing each other before the wedding, with the couple totally in mind!
What beautiful pictures but have no idea where to start? This will give you ideas for having those styled detail shots and candid portraits.
Wedding Photos
To View Gallery - No later than 3 weeks after wedding. Depending on the time of year, we try to get galleries to couples as quick as
possible. In most cases the images will arrive way before the 3 week mark but
we ask that you are patient as we make sure your gallery is beautiful.
Download Images - After blog post has been published, no later than 4 weeks.
You'll be able to view your entire gallery soon after your wedding. We'll send
the download of the image the day we post your blog. We like to keep our
blog up-to-date, so the post are up relatively soon. If the blog doesn't post your
wedding within 4 weeks of your wedding, we'll send the download to you, regardless of the publication.
Albums
To Proof - Two months from your wedding date an online slideshow of your album will be sent to you. You have 2 months from
that date to view and make any changes before the album is archived.
Order - Albums arrival is 1-2 months after order is made
Albums are handmade and take up to 2 months to arrive. In most cases, the
album is shipped to the studio and we hand deliver. If you live out of state,
the album will be shipped to you. You have up to a year to place an order for
an album. After a year, your album credit expires.
